A Vision In Racing
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with motorsport. I started karting when I was nine but had to stop after three seasons, despite achieving multiple podiums, due to a lack of funding.
In my early years, I completed a course with Silverstone Rally School and followed this with my first track track driving experience where I was instructed on racing techniques. More recently, I had my first drive in a Formula 4 car in torrential rain, in which I was three seconds faster than everyone else. In my return to go-karting, I completed in a half-season at Rye House, finishing sixth in a highly competitive grid that included an ex-British Karting Championship driver, a Club 100 driver, and a current Ginetta GTA driver. I progressed significantly throughout the season, and towards the end, my lap times were on par with the championship leaders. Additionally, I was invited to compete for a club in their annual interclub Race. There were 24 drivers on the grid, many of which had a racing background. I qualified on pole and went on to win the race, lapping over 60% of the field.
Earlier this year, I entered my first Club 100 race, a significant step up from my previous experience at Rye House. It took some time to adjust to the club 100 kart, however, by the latter stages of the race, I had adapted to the kart, made six overtakes, and finished with my lap times being only one second slower than the winner.
Significantly, whilst racing at Rye House, I was approached by a representative from Bridger Motorsports and was invited to complete a day in Senior Rotax Karts with them. I took to the challenge, and on a day which started in soaking wet weather, and despite these karts being extremely difficult to get used to, due to its acceleration, throttle and breaking techniques being more similar to a car, I was only a couple of seconds slow than the GB4 driver and the F4 race winner in our tent. I was described as very impressive by both the ex-British Karting Championship driver I was with and Bridger Motorsports.
I know I am capable of achieving great things and have proven potential. I have a true passion for motorsports and a strong willingness to learn, along with the dedication to push my physical fitness to its peak in order to improve my performance. My drive to win and push both myself and the vehicle I am driving to the absolute limit is unwavering.
